LATE-AYA at the Five Years EU Cancer Mission event in Brussels
LATE-AYA joined the European Commission's “Five Years EU Cancer Mission: Stronger Through Connection” event in Brussels, connecting with partners and fellow Quality of Life Cluster projects.
LATE-AYA was in Brussels for the “Five Years EU Cancer Mission: Stronger Through Connection” event, organised by the European Commission.
Represented by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, LATE-AYA was happy to connect with our partners from Youth Cancer Europe, who were also representing Youth Cancer Network (YARN), as well as fellow projects from the Quality of Life Cluster: TRANSCEND-XR, MAYA Project and PredictAYA.
The cluster brings together initiatives that address the long-term consequences of cancer and its treatment, with a shared goal: improving the quality of life of Adolescents and Young Adults (AYAs) living with and beyond cancer. Together, we are working to advance evidence-based survivorship care, digital health solutions, predictive approaches and harmonised care pathways, helping to build a more coordinated European response to the challenges that come after cancer treatment.
Aligned with the EU Mission on Cancer and Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan, the cluster is helping drive the development of patient-centred, equitable and sustainable models of long-term cancer care across Europe.
The Brussels event was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate five years of the EU Cancer Mission, take stock of the progress made towards its 2030 goals and look ahead to how we can strengthen our collaboration.
